Photo installation in the Obsolet Group Exhibition at Projektraum Galerie M, Berlin, February and March 2024
The installation consists of twelve distorted self-portraits and self-images I made during five years of learning about my family history and delving into gender roles in the small village where I was born and grew up. The photos were taken with my parents’ clothes which have similar elements to folk costumes that are now forgotten in my hometown. The photos were installed on a mirror in front of another mirror presented in a red light.
